4 Quadrants of Success - by Bill Lodge
In each of us, there are four quadrants that we must keep balanced and primed in order to have a successful and happy lifestyle: Work, Family, Mental Health, and Physical Health. Each is important, but it requires a unique balance of all of them to truly excel.
Your work quadrant is based on a drive to pursue both a financial and productive way of life. Financial in the sense that you do not have to worry about affordability when you make conscious choices, and productive in the sense that you, as an individual, are pursuing your ambitions and passions and putting your stamp on this world.
Your family quadrant is what brings you love and happiness. It is essential to keep this aspect of your life plentiful and genuine. Your family keeps you warm and comfortable and can support you in tough times.
Your mental health is just as important even if it is only more recently getting the attention it deserves. If you want to perform at your best, you need to be aware of your current capabilities and know what is truly best for you. It might not be the best, rational, or economic choice, but it is essential to be aware of your mental capabilities and whether you can carry on with your work and other things.
Lastly your physical health is important in that it can provide unique motivation and carry you forward throughout the day and into the future.
Each of these quadrants are important on their own, but balancing them among the others is in fact more important as it can produce greater and healthier results in your life.
